Banana Split Dessert

One of the favorites that my co-worker and friend,Vickie, brings into work for celebrations.

Crust:
1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
2 cups graham cracker crumbs

Filling:
2 eggs
2 cups powdered sugar
3/4 cup butter or margarine softened
1 teaspoon vanilla

Toppings:
1 20 oz. can crushed pineapple, drained
4 bananas, sliced and tossed with lemon juice
1/2 cup pecans, chopped
9 oz. whipped topping
4 oz. maraschino cherries

Combine graham cracker crumbs with butter/margarine and pat into a 12x9 pan. Beat eggs 4 minutes at high speed. Add powdered sugar, butter/margarine and vanilla and beat an additional 5 minutes. Spread this mixture over the graham cracker crust and chill approx. 30 minutes. Spread drained pineapple and sliced bananas over the egg/butter/sugar mixture. Top with whipped topping, maraschino cherries and nuts. Refrigerate 6 hours.
