2 cups white sugar
1 1/2 cups white corn syrup
1 1/2 cups whipping cream
1/2 cup butter (no substitute)
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups nuts
- Mix sugar, syrup, 1 cup cream and butter.
- Cook until it boils vigorously, then gradually add the other 1/2 cup cream.
- Cook over medium to low heat and stir every 4 or 5 minutes.
- Cook till a hard ball may be formed in cold water.
- Remove from fire and add vanilla and nuts.
- Pour into a greased pan. Cool
- Cut into squares and wrap in wax paper or make into rolls and roll in nuts and slice for serving.
