Apple Dip

I think the first time I ever had Caramel Apple Dip was at the San Diego County Fair many years ago and then a few years ago when I visited Maria's RS Homemaking Night I had the best Apple Dip I have ever had. The lady shared the recipe and here it is.

1 c butter, 3/4 c light Karo cornsyrup, 2 c white sugar, 1 c half and half
Bring butter, cornsyrup and sugar to boil in large heavy pan. While boiling trickle in the half and half and boil on medium to low heat until light brown in color.
If you cook it long enough it will be caramels instead of dip so take it off the heat at light brown.
