Chocolate Silk Pie

As a teenager, I use to love to cook for my boyfriend...this was one of his favorites.

1 9" baked pie shell (Exquisite Pie Crust recipe is best)
1 cup butter
1 1/2 cups sugar
4 1 oz. square baking chocolate, melted and cooled
4 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
Whip cream

Bake pie shell. In medium bowl, cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating at medium speed 2 minutes after each addition. Blend in chocolate and vanilla. Spoon into cooled pie shell. Chill 2 hours or until served. Serve with whip cream and nuts. For a cheese cake like flavor, substitute 8 oz. cream cheese for the butter. Serve small slices.
