Cereal Crunchies

Someone always asks for the recipe when I make these. I usually double the recipe.

Sift together:
1 cup sifted flour
1/2 teaspoon soda
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
Cream:
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
Add:
1 unbeaten egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Blend in dry ingredients:
1 cup rolled oats
1 cup rice krispies
1/2 cup flaked coconut
chocolate chips, optional

Shape dough into balls using a rounded teaspoonful for each. Place on greased baking sheets and flatten slightly.
Bake in 350' oven for 8 to 10 minutes, until golden brown.
